wood primer for water-based enamel paint

Primer for water-based enamel paint based on polyurethane-modified resins. Suitable for the preparation of interior and exterior wood. Excellent adhesion and great elasticity. Apply on old surfaces previously coated with water-based or solvent-based paints or on new wood, plaster etc. Great hiding power. Easy sanding. Uniform flow, leaves no brush or roller marks. Fills the substrate and provides a matt finish. Ideal undercoat for AQUAGLOSS, AQUASATIN and AQUAMATT. Does not alter the gloss of the top coat. Increases the coverage, resistance and strength of the top coat. Practically odourless.

Preparation

Carefully prepare surface to obtain good results. Remove all weathered coatings, loose materials and oils. Sand surface smooth and remove sanding residue with a rag.

► New wood:
Sand and clean sanding residue. Apply putty. Apply 1-2 coats of wood preservative POLACRYL 321. Prime with AQUARUST undercoat, 1-2 coats.

► New walls:
Apply 1-2 coats of bonding primer FERM H2O. Apply putty. Sand and clean sanding residue. Prime with AQUARUST undercoat, 1-2 coats.

► Smooth and stable substrate previously painted with solvent-based paints:
Sand lightly and clean sanding residue. Prime with AQUARUST undercoat, 1-2 coats.

Use

Roller, brush or spray airless. Thin by 5-15% with water.

Minimum application temperature:50C.

Drying out - coverage

Drying times are dependent on ambient temperature and film thickness. Touch dry: 1-2 hours. Recoat: 4-6 hours. Practical coverage: 7-11m2/lt depending on the thickness of each coat and the surface porosity.
